About
This area is busy and used by many pedestrians.
To help improve safety and traffic flow, we plan to:
- Add new turn lanes to allow vehicles to turn without delaying traffic.
- Install traffic signal poles with new street lights to improve visibility through the intersection.
- Install pedestrian push buttons with audible instructions to help those with impaired or limited vision to safely cross the street.
- Create a pull over space for the bus stop south of Broadway Street. This allows the bus to pull over without blocking traffic and the bike lane.
- Build ADA curb ramps at the three intersections to make it easier to move between the sidewalk and road.
We're planning to build and will have a better idea about the construction schedule and cost as we get further into design.
