​During construction, travelers can expect a full closure on U.S. 30 and Pole Line Lane with a detour.

About

​The Pole Line Lane railroad crossing is in Baker County.Enlarged project map. It is located 3.5 miles south of Haines, and 5.5 miles north of Baker City, near the intersection with U.S. 30, milepost 44.

For this project, we will:
  • ​Eliminate the steep approach.
  • Pave the section of road surrounding the railroad crossing and tie into U.S. 30.
  • Add new signs.
Union Pacific Railroad operates the rail and owns the right of way.
Baker County owns and maintains Pole Line Lane.

The project is estimated to cost $1.9 million.
