OR 202: Nehalem River Bridge Improvement

Construction Phase

We're replacing the bridge surface to create a smoother ride.

None at this time. We plan to start construction in 2026.

When construction starts, you can expect:

Lane closures with a temporary traffic signal or flaggers directing traffic.
A hard barrier separating traffic from the work zone. Wider vehicles may need to take an alternate route using U.S. 26 or U.S. 30.
Construction noise and delays.

Pay attention in the work zone, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work!

Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.

Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.
