NB Highland Dr. to Barnett Rd. Dual Right Turn Lanes

​​​​​​This project will establish a dual right turn lane from Northbound Highland Drive onto Eastbound Barnett Road. ​It is a collaboration with the City of Medford who has contributed $2.5 million to the project.

Construction Impacts

​There will be day and nighttime work anticipated on this project. During construction, the plan is to continue to allow normal traffic flow from the right turn lane (from Highland to Barnett) during the day, especially at the morning peak hours. 

Schedule

​Construction anticipated to begin by the end of summer 2026.

Benefits

During the early peak hours, congestion at the interchange for morning commuters should be resovled by adding the dual right turn lane. Vehicles should be able to progress through the light after exiting I-5 without any issues.
