West Main Street Paving in Carlton

Construction Phase

We're working with the City of Carlton to pave a portion of West Main Street.

None at this time.

When construction starts, you can expect:

Single-lane closures with flaggers directing traffic.
Temporary side street closures during paving.
W Main Street parking to be impacted during construction.
W Main Street neighbors in the work zone to have temporary impacts to driveway access and trash services.
Construction noise and delays.

We plan to start construction on Monday, August 24.

Pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will have access through or around work zones.

Pay attention in the work zone, slow down and move over – imagine this is where you work!

Always drive safely, watch for construction signs and workers.

Remember: fines double in all Oregon work zones, whether workers and signs are present or not.

Main Street is used by commuters, semi trucks and farmers and is the only direct route into town from the east and west.

The road is in poor condition. We're working with the city to:

Pave eastbound W Main Street from S Cunningham Street to Yamhill Street.
Replace some sections of sidewalk, driveway entrances and add new signs as needed.
Apply permanent striping.
