North Powder/Richland/Halfway Curb Ramps

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​We are upgrading curb ramps in North Powder, Richland and Halfway to meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards.​​

No impacts at this time. Project has been paused for the winter.

Meetings and Events

​We met with city councils in November 2024 to provide project updates. The public was invited to attend. 

  • North Powder: Monday, Nov. 4, 7-9 p.m.
  • Halfway: Thursday, Nov. 14, 5-7 p.m.
  • Richland: Friday, Nov. 15, 3:30-5:30 p.m.​

Schedule

Work has been paused for the winter and will resume spring of 2026.
The project is scheduled to be completed October 2026.

About

We are upgr​ading curb ramps in Baker and Union counties as part of a larger effort to meet current ADA standards.

These improvements mean increased safety and more seamless access for people who walk, bike or roll.
Benefits include:
  • Upgrades to existing curb ramps and pedestrian signals.
  • New ADA-compliant curb ramps and pedestrian signals where there are none.

  • OR 86-S (Baker-Copperfield Spur Highway).

  • OR 86 (Baker-Copperfield Highway).

Cost and Funding

The estimated construction cost is $6.3 million.​
