About

OR 207 is a state highway of regional significance. It connects Hermiston with I-84 to the southwest and U.S. 730 to the northeast. OR 207 serves as a major route through the Hermiston urban area with an increasing amount of urban residential development.
The project area stretches along two sections of Southwest 11th Street, from Elm Avenue to Orchard Avenue, and between Highland Avenue and Joseph Avenue.
Sidewalks and bike lanes along the corridor between Elm Avenue to the north and Joseph Avenue to the south are intermittent.
Residents that rely on bicycling and walking must use narrow paved or gravel shoulders to access transit stops, schools, health care facilities and retail businesses along portions of the corridor.
This project improves access for people walking, biking and taking public transit on OR 207 (Southwest 11th Street).
Proposed project scope:
- Elm Avenue to Orchard Avenue.
- Construct new sidewalk to fill gaps on the west side of OR 207.
- Highland Avenue to Joseph Avenue.
- Construct new sidewalk to fill gaps on both sides of OR 207.
- Eliminate on-street parking.
- Stripe a center turn lane and 6-foot bike lane.
