Details

About

This project will make traveling in Chiloquin safer for everyone. Planned improvements include:

Chocktoot Street: 

  • Add sidewalks and bike lanes
  • Lighting upgrades
  • Improved ADA ramps
  • Storm water treatments
  • Enhanced marked crossings at Lalo Avenue and Klamath Avenue
  • Streetsca​ping​
  • Update railway pedestrian crossing ​​
OR 422:
  • Build a multi-use path starting at Spinks Park and ending near the Dollar General
  • Add a school bus stop facility across from the ODOT maintenance yard.
  • Lighted pedestrian crossings at the Tribal Administration Building and Applegate Avenue
OR 422/Chocktoot Street Intersection: 
  • ​T-up intersection and remove westbound Chocktoot slip-lane to make the intersection an all way stop
  • Lighted pedestrian crossings that connect to sidewalks.
  • Improve ADA ramps
  • Consider space for future gateway treatment
  • Add storm water facilities
Chocktoot Street/ 1st Street Intersection: 
  • Remove west-southbound slip lane
  • Remove cement triangle in roadway
  • Improve pedestrian crossings that connect to sidewalks
  • Improve ADA ramps
