About
We are upgrading curb ramps in Baker, Union and Wallowa counties as part of a larger effort to meet current ADA standards.
These improvements mean increased safety and more seamless access for people who walk, bike or roll.
Benefits include:
- Upgrades to existing curb ramps and pedestrian signals.
- New ADA-compliant curb ramps and pedestrian signals where there are none.

We have already updated curb ramps in these communities. Why are we returning?
- We recently reviewed all curb ramps in Region 5 to make sure we didn't miss any locations. Some sites were not included in earlier projects because of issues like permitting or utility conflicts. In addition, a few ramps that were previously upgraded now need repairs. This means we'll be returning to some communities we've already visited.

The estimated construction cost is $6.0 million.
