About
We are upgrading curb ramps in Umatilla County and other Region 5 locations as part of a larger effort to meet current ADA standards.
These improvements mean increased safety and more seamless access for people who walk, bike or roll.
Benefits include:
- Upgrades to existing curb ramps and pedestrian signals.
- New ADA-compliant curb ramps and pedestrian signals where there are none.
Visit the
ODOT ADA webpage for more information about the statewide effort to upgrade curb ramps throughout Oregon.

Additional Information
As part of this project, we will install a Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) at SW Emigrant Avenue and SW 13th Street.
We installed a temporary RRFB until we can add a permanent one during construction. To improve visibility of the RRFB and reduce driver confusion, we removed the signal controlling westbound traffic on Emigrant.
