About
We made safety improvements at the intersection of OR 211 and S Meridian Road to help reduce the number of crashes. We:
- Installed stop signs on OR 211 at the intersection.
- Grinded in rumble strips across the lane at four locations on OR 211, two on each side of S Meridian Road. Rumble strips are grooves in the pavement that create vibration and sound to alert drivers when they are leaving a lane.
- Added overhead flashing red warning lights to alert drivers of the new all-way stop.
- Installed new signs as needed.
We opened the four-way stop to traffic on March 18, 2025. Some of the improvements require more planning and coordination. We'll return in 2027 to make the permanent changes to this intersection. Learn more about the work we have planned by visiting the
