About

enlarged project map iconU.S. 30 in Astoria has had a number of planning level recommendations made to improve safety and accessibility. The lack of a center turn lane, poor driving behavior, safety concerns and absent pedestrian/bicycle infrastructure have all been cited as reasons to improve the corridor.

To improve safety and accessibility, we:

  • Restriped U.S 30 to add a center turn lane.

  • Added bicycle lanes.

  • Upgraded pedestrian crossings and lighting.
