A Transportation System Plan (TSP) describes a transportation system and outlines projects, programs, and policies to meet its needs now and in the future based on the community’s goals.
The Prineville Transportation System Plan is a plan to guide the city’s future transportation system. It is a city document that will recommend programs, policies, and physical improvements to streets and sidewalks to address current and future transportation needs.
What is happening so far?
- Identifying dangerous roadways and intersections in Prineville.
- Analyzing current traffic patterns and volumes.
- Drafting goals to guide projects, programs, and policies that will be included in the TSP.
- Draft goals center around:
- Ensuring a safe transportation system.
- Building a complete system of walking and biking routes.
- Supporting economic development.
- Promoting access to destinations.
- Reducing the transportation system’s impacts on Prineville’s environment.
Upon completion, the updated Transportation System Plan will be adopted by the city of Prineville.
