Oregon Women Veterans Survey
The Advisory Committee to the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs (ODVA) is seeking input from Women Veterans across Oregon through a new statewide survey designed to better understand their experiences, needs, and priorities.
Oregon is home to nearly 28,000 Women Veterans — one of the fastest-growing veteran populations in both the state and the nation. Despite this growth, many women who served in the military are not always recognized as veterans or may not identify themselves as veterans. As a result, some may not be connected to the benefits, services, and community they have earned through their military service.
To help address these challenges, Women Veterans serving on the Advisory Committee have launched a short survey to gather feedback directly from Women Veterans throughout Oregon.
The survey focuses on:
- Access to benefits and services
- Challenges Women Veterans face
- Priorities for improving programs, support systems, and outreach
Why participate?
Feedback collected through the survey will be shared directly with the Advisory Committee to help inform future discussions, recommendations, and advocacy efforts aimed at strengthening support for Women Veterans across Oregon.
Input from Women Veterans is essential to ensuring programs and services reflect the real experiences and needs of those who have served.
About the survey
- Takes approximately 5 minutes to complete
- No personally identifiable information is collected
- Responses are confidential and reported only in summary form
- Will be open from June 1-30
Women Veterans are strongly encouraged to participate and share their perspectives. Community organizations, partners, and supporters are also encouraged to help expand outreach by sharing the survey within their networks.
