Agency Employee Hands-On Training

If you or your agency is looking for formal ATV or Side x Side training from a nationally recognized organization, here is some general information. There are essentially two categories of available training: Hands-on Training (rider training) and Instructor Training (train-the-trainer).

When it comes to standard hands-on training, you’ll learn safe riding skills within a controlled riding environment from a certified instructor.

Quad Training

ASI Golden Rules, Tips and Practice Guide can be found at https://atvsafety.org/the-golden-rules/

Side-by-Side Training

You can become a certified hands-on training instructor for your agency. Current training locations to become an ATV Instructor or Side-by-Side Instructor are primarily being conducted outside of Oregon.

From time-to-time, instructor courses are offered in Oregon but only if there is enough interest to justify a local course. To be considered for a potential instructor course in Oregon, please fill out the linked Instructor Certification Interest Form and submit. Once we have enough interest, we can contact the national training organizations to review potential options.
