  • Chinese shrine in Salem reveals long history

    The City of Salem conducted archaeological research to uncover a decades hidden shrine in the Salem Pioneer Cemetery. The discovery highlights the significant influence of Chinese in Salem's history. The city held a traditional memorial ceremony at the shrine this past spring.

2020 Oregon Heritage Conference
April 22-24, 2020, in Corvallis conference attendees will harness the power of heritage through three days of workshops, sessions, keynote speakers, tours, and more. Veterans and War Memorials Grant Open

The application is open now for memorial project the recognize veterans and wars. The work can be to preserve an existing memorial or create a new one. Deadline is February 13, 2020.

Oregon Heritage Excellence Award Application Open Now!

The Oregon Heritage Excellence Awards recognize individuals, businesses and organizations for outstanding efforts on behalf of Oregon heritage and raise the quality of heritage-oriented activities. It also includes the Sally Donovan Award for Historic Cemetery Preservation.

Deadline is January 26, 2020.
