The culvert failures have restricted RV access to B Loop, reducing the park's operational capacity. Fully restoring access and reopening this highly used section of the campground is a top priority for the region. Culverts provide a safe way to move water under roads, protecting the road from flooding, erosion and, eventually, collapse. This road had a large hole due to a failing culvert that is being replaced. The project will improve visitor access, campground operations, and the long-term reliability of critical infrastructure within the park.
