A registered business name (RBN) must be renewed yearly in eLicense. This renewal is
in addition to any renewal of the business registration with the
Secretary of State.
The Oregon Real Estate Agency sends out a courtesy renewal reminder email to the RBN's key contact/authorized licensee by email. Failure to receive the email reminder is not an excuse for not renewing an RBN on time.
RBNs must be renewed annually in the same month the RBN was registered.
The authorized principal broker or property manager renews the RBN during the month the RBN expires. The authorized licensee can check the expiration date by logging into the

If you are the only principal broker or property manager with the RBN and your license expired within the month before the RBN renewal, you cannot renew the RBN.
