Authorize Someone to Manage Your Business

A managing principal broker or property manager can allow another licensee to temporarily run their business subject to the following requirements.

  • Authorizations can't last for more than 90 days.
  • Person taking over must be a licensed real estate professional.
  • The authorization form is submitted to the Oregon Real Estate Agency before the authorization period begins.

Managing principal brokers may authorize either:

  • A prinicpal broker within their business or from another business, or
  • A broker within their own business who has at least three years of active license experience.

Property managers can authorize a property manager or principal broker to temporarily manage their& business.
