In early December, State Representative David Gomberg hosted Treasurer Steiner at the Lincoln City Cultural Center for a town hall that brought together community members for a thoughtful conversation about Oregon's finances. The following day, former Treasurer Randall Edwards interviewed Treasurer Steiner at the City Club of Portland, continuing the dialogue on Treasury’s work and Oregon’s economic future.
Treasurer Steiner fielded questions on everything from why she’s been speaking up about federal actions that raise the cost of living for Oregonians to the more than $100 million Treasury saved taxpayers by leveraging our strong credit ratings to issue low-cost bonds that will fund new housing and other projects across Oregon.
These events mark the beginning of broader outreach efforts in 2026, when Treasurer Steiner will be traveling throughout Oregon to meet with communities and discuss the economic issues affecting Oregonians' lives.
The next stop? Portland in March. Admittedly, not much of a road trip, but important, nonetheless.
We look forward to continuing these conversations across the state.
