As part of the negotiations for the 2012 contract, a committee of nine labor representatives and four management representatives was formed to provide feedback on the state's health improvement plans.
According to the agreement, the joint HEM committee is charged with, among other things
- Reviewing the educational components of the Health Engagement Model
- Creating benchmarks against which the HEM's effectiveness will be judged
- Recommending ways to improve the program
Under the agreement the committee will make recommendations to the governor for the 2013 plan design. In addition, the committee is providing feedback to the Public Employees' Benefit Board on improvements to communications and education on 2012 plan changes.
