West Coast Green Highway continues to expand
In September 2010, ODOT received $700,000 in federal stimulus funds to install up to eight EV fast-charging stations in southern Oregon, from Eugene to Ashland. The initiative complements existing EV charging installations underway and electrifies an important leg of the West Coast Green Highway to the California border.
Federal funds from TIGER II adds more stations
ODOT has received two rounds of funding from the federal government's TIGER program for establishing up to 33 EV fast-charging stations. Both of these project are public/private partnerships managed by the ODOT’s Office on Innovative Partnerships. Construction should begin in 2012 be complete in late 2013.
