Facilities

Shepherds Flat Central is a wind energy facility located within a site boundary of approximately 11,769 acres (18.4 square miles). The facility consists of 116 turbines with a maximum generating capacity of 290 megawatts and a maximum blade tip height of 492 feet.

Operating. The facility commenced commercial operation in September 2012.​

​​​​​​​​​On September 11, 2009, the Energy Facility Siting Council approved a Final Order dividing the Shepherds Flat Wind Farm into three original site certificates for Shepherds Flat Central, Shepherds Flat North, and Shepherds Flat South​.
