Visiting

With patient permission, Oregon State Hospital encourages family and friends to visit and maintain relationships with their loved ones during their stay at the hospital. Please keep in mind that a patient may decline a visitor at any time.

Before you can visit a patient, he or she must add you to an approved visitors' list.

Forensic Patients

If the patient you would like to visit is in one of or our forensic programs (Archways, Pathways and Bridges), you must submit a visitor application and have it approved.
Apply to Visit

All visitors, children included, must fill out separate applications. When the hospital receives your application, we will conduct a background check. If the hospital approves your application, it will be sent to the patient's treatment team, which will work with her or him to make a final decision about each visitor.
