Magazines

In addition to books, readers can also enjoy a wide selection of magazines that cover a variety of interests.  Audio magazines are loaned just like books and must be returned, with a loan period determined by the magazine's publishing schedule.  Braille magazines are considered a consumable item and do not need to be returned.

For the most part, Talking Books can manage your subscriptions for you (adding, holding, suspending), but there are a couple publisher-direct audio magazines that require the user to manage their own subscription.

Most of the NLS audio and Braille magazines are also available for download from BARD or BARD Mobile.  Downloading magazines means there are no loan periods, so you can keep an issue for as long as you need it.
