BARD & BARD Mobile


Tired of waiting for a popular book?  Planning a trip and wanting to take some good reading with you?  We have your solution: BARD (Braille and Audio Reading Download)!

BARD gives users FREE access to download any NLS book or magazine they want, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  No more wait lists; no more due dates; no more mailing.  And there are no limits: you can download as many books as you want, and so can every other BARD user. For FREE!

Books can be downloaded a couple of different ways:

BARD
  • Books and magazines are downloaded from the BARD website, or using the BARD Express desktop application.
  • Downloads are loaded onto a flash drive or blank cartridge, and can either be played on our digital player or a registered purchased player.

BARD Mobile
  • Download books and magazines right to a mobile device for portable, instant, easy listening.
  • App is compatible with iOS, Android, and Kindle smartphones or tablets.
  • You can download the free BARD Mobile app from the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store, or the Amazon Appstore (device must be running iOS 11 or Android 7 or higher).
