Inclement Weather

All mailed-in transactions should be sent to DMV Headquarters.  Please do not send them to this office.

  8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday 
10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Wednesday
  8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Thursday, Friday
 (Closed for Mid-Day: 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM)

Note: DMV offices are closed for Statewide Holidays.

Drive tests are given by appointment only. If you would like to schedule an appointment, please call the office number above.

You must show proof of insurance before a drive test. You can use:

  • A valid insurance card;
  • A current vehicle liability insurance policy or binder; or
  • A DMV Certificate of Self-Insurance showing you as the owner of the vehicle.

If there is inclement weather, drive tests may be cancelled or traction devices may be required. Please confirm your drive test by calling the office.

Going North (from Bend)

  • Take OR-97 north toward Redmond.
  • As you approach the town of Redmond, take the Yew Ave exit (Exit 124).
  • Turn RIGHT onto SE Airport Way.
  • Take the first RIGHT onto SW 21st St (Applebee's is on the corner).
  • Turn RIGHT onto the 2nd driveway.
  • The DMV office is located at 3835.

Going South (from Madras)

  • Take OR-97 south toward Redmond.
  • After you go through the town of Redmond, take the Yew Ave exit (Exit 124).
  • Turn LEFT onto SE Airport Way.
  • Take a RIGHT onto SW 21st St (Applebee's is on the corner).
  • Turn RIGHT onto the 2nd driveway.
  • The DMV office is located at 3835.

Going East (from Sisters)

  • Travel east on the McKenzie Hwy (OR-126) toward Redmond.
  • As you approach the town of Redmond the street name will change to Highland Ave.
  • Continue east through Redmond on Highland Ave for a couple blocks.
  • Turn RIGHT (south) on SW 27th St.
  • Continue south until you get to a roundabout, take the 2nd exit, SW Yew Ave.
  • At Hwy 97 underpass, the street name will change to SE Airport Way.
  • Take a RIGHT onto SW 21st St (Applebee's is on the corner).
  • Turn RIGHT onto the 2nd driveway.
  • The DMV office is located at 3835.

Going West (from Prineville)

  • Travel west on the Ochoco Hwy (OR-126) toward Redmond.
  • As you approach the town of Redmond the street name will change to Ochoco Way.
  • Pass the Redmond Municipal Airport (on your left).
  • Turn LEFT on SE Veteran's Way.
  • Turn LEFT on SE Airport Way.
  • Continue for 2.3 miles.
  • Turn LEFT on SW 21st St (Applebee's is on the corner).
  • Turn RIGHT onto the 2nd driveway.
  • The DMV office is located at 3835.
