Across Oregon’s 12 correctional institutions, meaningful work is happening every day. From education and vocational training to community partnerships, special events, and staff achievements, each facility plays a role in supporting growth, opportunity, and positive change.
This page highlights some of the programs, events, and accomplishments taking place at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility. These stories reflect the dedication of staff, the progress of adults in custody, and the partnerships that help strengthen connections between our facilities and the communities they serve.
The Gender Informed Practices Assessment (GIPA) is an initiative by the Oregon Department of Corrections to evaluate and strengthen gender-responsive and trauma-informed practices, particularly for women in custody.
Funded by the Oregon Legislature, the assessment reviews key areas such as facility design, staffing, programming, and services to help create a safer, more supportive environment tailored to the unique needs of incarcerated women.
