DOC Tribal Partnerships

Welcome to the Oregon Department of Corrections Tribal Partnership page. This page provides Religious Services resources, documentation, and information for DOC staff, tribal partners, and community members.

The mission of Religious Services is to provide opportunities for adults in custody to explore and practice their faith or spirituality individually and collectively from intake through reentry.

Religious Services, the oldest correctional program within DOC, provides a wide range of faith-based services while ensuring compliance with constitutional protections and the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA).

National Native American Heritage Month

November is an opportunity to honor the cultures, traditions, and contributions of Native American communities. DOC values partnerships with the nine federally recognized tribes in Oregon.

These partnerships strengthen cultural awareness, collaboration, and equity while helping ensure Native American individuals feel supported and respected throughout their time in custody.
