DOC Policies and Administrative Rules
Overview
The Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) operates in accordance with Oregon law, Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs), and Departmental Policies. Administrative Rules are established by state agencies, boards, and commissions to implement and interpret statutory authority (ORS 183.310(9)).
These rules may be adopted, amended, repealed, or renumbered—either permanently or temporarily (for up to 180 days)—to ensure alignment with current laws, operational needs, and public policy.
