Comment on Proposed Rules
How to Submit Comments

The Department welcomes comments on proposed rules. When submitting comments, please include the division number and title of the proposed rule. All comments submitted are considered public.

You must provide at least your full first name, last initial, and affiliation (if any).

You may submit public comment in the following ways:

  • Submit public comment online using the form below
  • Email us at DOC.RulesCoordinator@doc.oregon.gov
  • Mail your comment to:

  • Attend and testify at a rule hearing

Rules open for public review and comment can be found on the Administrative Rules webpage under “Proposed Rules.”

Use this form to submit comments on any Department of Corrections rulemaking that is currently open for public comment.

Please note: Refer to the rulemaking notice published on the Administrative Rules page for open public comment periods. Comments received after the close of the comment period will not be reviewed or considered.
