The first phase of the Oregon Energy Strategy project began November 2024. During Phase 1, an Advisory Group and focus-area Working Groups were formed and several opportunities were made available to the public to learn more about and contribute to the development of the Oregon Energy Strategy. Phase 1 Working Group Meetings and Materials
In addition to the Phase 1 Advisory Group, eight focus-area Working Groups
were created to help inform the development of the
Oregon Energy Strategy. These Phase 1 Working Groups were a valuable resource to ODOE for technical
and community expertise.
During Phase 1 Working Group meetings, participants were guided through how
the model works and key assumptions for the model. They helped to inform how
tradeoffs are evaluated in the analysis, diving into issues like equity and
affordability, land use, public health, and jobs and economic development.
