Our conference agenda is thoughtfully planned to address the core aspects of Adult Basic Skills (ABS) and Oregon’s high school equivalency education. We cover a diverse range of subjects, including GED® test education, Integrated Education and Training (IET)/Career Pathways, English for Speakers of Other Languages, data and assessment, corrections, ABS education, distance learning and digital literacy, advocacy, and social justice.

2023 ABS Conference: "Collaborate to Innovate"
The most recent Oregon Adult Basic Skills Conference occurred on October 23-24, 2023. The 2023 conference theme, “Collaborate to Innovate,” underlined the pivotal role of collective efforts to navigate the complex challenges in adult basic skills and high school equivalency education.
2023 Keynote Speaker, Dr. Amanda Bastoni
For 2023,
Dr. Amanda Bastoni was the keynote speaker. With over two decades of leadership experience, Dr. Bastoni currently serves as the Director of Career, Technical, and Adult Education at
CAST. Her insights into equity promotion, expansion of opportunities in Career and Technical Education, high school equivalency education, and adult basic skills perfectly align with the goals and aspirations of conference participants.
