Exam dates
Administration dates for the Landscape Architect Registration Examination (LARE) are set by the Council of Landscape Architect Registration Boards (CLARB), not the Board. CLARB administers the LARE three times per year, in spring, summer, and late fall (which CLARB calls the winter administration).
CLARB administration dates for 2026 are:
- March 30 - April 15 administration, last date to register March 25
- July 27 - August 12 administration, last date to register July 22
- November 30 - December 16, last date to register November 24

Oregon examination candidates go directly to CLARB to register for examination.
Exam fees
The Board does not collect any fees related to examination. Examination fees must be paid directly to CLARB as part of the LARE registration process. CLARB fees for the LARE sections are listed below for reference only. CLARB may also charge other administrative fees.
