The Board consists of four (4) Registered Landscape Architects holding active registration in good standing to practice in Oregon and three (3) public members. The Governor appoints all Board members and may remove any member of the Board for misconduct, incompetence, neglect of duty, or any other sufficient cause. Each member of the Board shall have been a resident of Oregon for a minimum of three (3) years preceding appointment and must continue to reside in Oregon while serving on the Board. For the Registered Landscape Architect positions, the Board members must have practiced in Oregon for a minimum of five (5) years preceding appointment. A Board membership term is four (4) years, and all terms start on July 1. Per Governor's Office policy, no member shall serve for more than two (2) consecutive four (4) year terms, i.e. for 8 years.
