Impact Summary

During construction, you can expect:

Lane closures as needed.
Road and ramp closures with detours.
Beltline weekend eastbound lane closures for up to 11 weekends.
Beltline weekend westbound lane closures for up to 9 weekends.
Delta Highway full closure for up to 10 days in the project area.
Beltline lane closures: while working in the median for 12-18 months – the lane closest to the median, in each direction, will close nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Construction noise and delays.

Timing

We estimate the project finishing design early next year, and plan to have a contractor on board in the Spring. At that time we'll have a better idea of the staging and schedule of the work, closures and detours. Sign up for project update emails to get the latest information.

Closures and Detours Details

We'll need to close westbound Beltline for up to 9 weekends during the project. The closures will start Fridays at 9 p.m. and reopen at 5 a.m. on Monday.

Traffic can exit Beltline at Delta Highway and use the Green Acres Road exit to return to Beltline.

We'll need to close eastbound Beltline for up to 11 weekends during the project. The closures will start Fridays at 9 p.m. and reopen at 5 a.m. on Monday.

Traffic can exit Beltline to southbound Delta Highway, then use the Goodpasture Island Road exit to return to Beltline.

While constructing the new lane, we'll need to close a lane 24/7 on Delta Highway for up to one month.

We're closing the northbound inside lane of Delta Highway 24/7 for the duration of the project.

To raise and widen the bridge, there will only be one lane of traffic in each direction on the Delta Highway over Beltline Highway. The lane closure will be separated from traffic by a hard barrier and will be in place for the duration of the project.

We'll close Delta Highway for up to 10 days from Green Acres Road to the Beltline eastbound ramp to Delta intersection.

During the closure:

From Delta Highway

Traffic going south on Delta Highway will detour around the full closure.

To continue SB Delta: Take westbound Beltline off-ramp ➡️ River Road exit ➡️ re-enter Beltline using the estbound on-ramp ➡️ take southbound off-ramp to Delta Highway.
To go east on Beltline: Take westbound Beltline off-ramp ➡️ River Road exit ➡️ re-enter Beltline using the eastbound on-ramp.

Traffic going north on Delta Highway will detour around the full closure.

To continue NB Delta: Take Beltline eastbound off-ramp ➡️ Coburg exit, continue north on Coburg Road ➡️ west on Crescent Avenue/Green Acres Road to Delta Highway.
To go west on Beltline there are two options:
- Take Beltline eastbound off-ramp ➡️ Coburg exit, continue north on Coburg Road ➡️ west on Crescent Avenue/Green Acres Road to Delta Highway intersection ➡️ continue straight to Beltline westbound on-ramp.
- Take Beltline eastbound off-ramp ➡️ Coburg exit ➡️ use westbound ramp to re-enter Beltline Highway.
