This project rehabilitates the bridge decks for future use.

Poor and separated (delaminated) concrete will be repaired and replaced and the decks will receive a thin, new concrete overlay.

Maintain two critical bridges in the south Ashland are over both Interstate 5 and the CORP railroad tracks.

Benefits

Modernizes and preserves the existing bridge decks for the future. Without this necessary work, the bridges may be weight-limited.

For the East Main Street Bridge over I-5, the bridge deck is a necessary component of the bridge's structural integrity.

Final striping will look as it does today on both bridges.

What Problem Will This Improve?

These two relatively close bridges in Ashland are in need of a structural deck overlay. Each bridge will be repaired the same way. Poor and separated (delaminated) concrete will be repaired and the entire deck will receive a new concrete overlay.
