Marijuana and Hemp Symbols

Retailers looking to comply with marijuana and hemp labeling requirements should consider the following symbols and statements for their packaging.

ASTM SYMBOL

The ASTM symbol must be at least 0.5 inches wide by 0.5 high and it may not be modified, including but not limited to, color and shape, except that the hemp symbol may be larger than the minimum size.

BLUE HEMP SYMBOL

The Blue Hemp symbol must be least 0.48 inches wide by 0.35 high and it may not be modified, including but not limited to, color and shape, except that the hemp symbol may be larger than the minimum size.

MARIJUANA UNIVERSAL SYMBOL

The universal symbol indicates that the product is sold in an Oregon marijuana dispensary.

This symbol is required on all marijuana products being sold in Oregon dispensaries or OLCC retail shops. Labeling rules may be found in Chapter 845, Division 25. The symbol must be at least .48 inches wide by .35 inches high.
