Redemption Centers


Full-Service Redemption Centers and Alternative Access Redemption Centers are required to accept all cans and bottles covered under Oregon’s Bottle Bill.

Redemption Center Application Forms

Full-Service Redemption Center
To request approval as a Full-Service Redemption Center, please complete the Full-Service Redemption Center Application.

Any person may establish a Full-Service Redemption Center, subject to the approval of the OLCC, at which people may return empty beverage containers and receive payment of the 10-cent refund value of those containers. Full-Service Redemption centers must provide a convenient service for the return of empty beverage containers.

Full-Service Redemption centers must also serve participating grocery stores that are 5,000 or more square feet in size and located in up to two convenience zones. Each person responsible for the operation of one or more Full-Service Redemption Centers shall pay an annual registration fee of $3,000 per redemption center to the OLCC.

Alternative Access Redemption Center
To request approval as an Alternative Access Redemption Center, please complete the Alternative Access Redemption Center Application

Any non-profit organization in agreement with a sponsoring distributor cooperative may establish and operate an Alternative Access Redemption Center, subject to the approval of the OLCC, at which people may return empty beverage containers and receive payment of the 10-cent refund value of those containers. Alternative Access Redemption Centers must expand and enhance alternative redemption access opportunities for individuals who redeem empty beverage containers on a daily or near daily basis.

Alternative Access Redemption Centers must also serve participating grocery stores that are 5,000 or more square feet in size and located within their convenience zone.
