Service Alert: Oregon Heritage, including the Oregon SHPO, is moving from its current location to the Transportation Building at 355 Capitol St NE, Suite 130, Salem, OR 97301. During the month of August staff will pack the office. All staff will have limited availability the first half of August, August 1st through 18th, and will only be available for statutorily required functions and emergencies the last half of the month, August 19th through 31st. Staff will continue to receive and issue Archaeological Excavation Permits; manage active grants provided by our office; and respond to emergencies such as disasters and the inadvertent discovery of human remains. All other services will be slowed or suspended. Access to paper records will be limited or not possible starting August 1st through the end of September. Most records are available online through Oregon Heritage’s web-based databases.

  • INTERRUPTED SERVICES: Oregon Heritage is currently experiencing technical difficulties with the Heritage News Listserv in addition to the other listservs we administer for our different networks. This currently impacts signing up, changing preferences, and does not allow for the weekly Heritage News to be sent out. We are working with DAS to address these issues.
