Architectural firms with an inactive Oregon Certificate of Registration may apply for reinstatement if the registration has been inactive for five years or less.

If your firm’s Certificate of Registration has been inactive for more than five years, you must apply using the Architectural Firm Application instead of the reinstatement process described on this page. Reinstatement Eligibility Requirements
Architectural firms may apply for reinstatement if the firm’s Certificate of Registration has been inactive for five years or less.
If the registration has been inactive for more than five years, the firm must reapply through the standard Architectural Firm Registration process.
Reinstatement Process
Step 1 — Complete the Application
Complete the Architectural Firm Reinstatement Application.

Step 2 — Obtain a Certificate of Existence
Include a copy of the firm’s Certificate of Existence issued by the Oregon Secretary of State.

The business name listed on the Certificate of Existence must:

match the business name used in Oregon, and
-
comply with firm name requirements established in OAR 806-010-0080.
Step 3 — Pay Required Fees
Applicants must pay:

the Architectural Firm Reinstatement Application Fee, and
-
the Certificate of Registration Reinstatement Fee.
Payments may be submitted:

-
by check payable to Oregon State Board of Architect Examiners (OSBAE).
Step 4 — Submit the Application

Applicants should keep copies of all submitted materials for their records.
Applications remain valid for 12 months from the date received by the Board.
