Continuing Education Requirements
Registered architects in Oregon must complete:

a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education (CE)

prior to each registration renewal.
Allowable continuing education topics pertaining to the practice of architecture include:

Continuing education requirements are waived for the first renewal after initial registration.
Continuing Education Records
Registrants are responsible for maintaining documentation demonstrating compliance with continuing education requirements.
Examples of acceptable documentation may include:

and course transcripts from providers such as the American Institute of Architects, or the National Council of Architectural Registration Board
The Board recommends retaining continuing education records for at least:

two years from the completion date.
Continuing Education Audit Process
The Board conducts a continuing education audit following each renewal season.
During the audit process:

a percentage of registrants may be selected for review,

and selected registrants must provide proof of continuing education completion.
If selected for audit, registrants will be required to submit:

certificates of completion,

transcripts,
-
or other approved documentation.

December 31 every other year.
Continuing Education Grace Period
Continuing education may be completed during the 60-day grace period following December 31 if:

the late continuing education fee was paid during online renewal.

The CE audit process generally follows these steps:
