The Oregon State Treasury follows a two-year budget cycle, known as a biennium. Our budget is reviewed and approved by the Oregon State Legislature every odd-numbered year. Currently, we are operating under the 2025-27 Legislatively Approved Budget, which will remain in effect until June 30, 2027. On August 28, 2027, Treasury submitted the 2027-29 Agency Request Budget for consideration.
Funding for the Treasury’s work comes from fees for financial services. These fees are paid by state and local government agencies using our banking services, investors whose funds we manage, and public or private organizations utilizing our bond issuance and management services.
2027-29 Agency Request Budget
For the 2027-29 biennium, Treasury is requesting a budget of $199.0 million and a total of 282 positions. This request includes six policy option packages totaling $15.7 million and 37 new positions.
