| Answers to Retiree Questions |
| Q | What medical plans are available for retirees who live out of state?
| A | PEBB’s Statewide Plan beginning 2010 is the only plan with a nationwide provider network. Use the nationwide provider-search tool to look for your provider.
| Q | What if my current providers are not in the plan’s network?
| A | You continue to have a choice of medical providers, services and facilities; your coinsurance costs continue to be affected by your choices. See the member handbook (pdf) for information on the plan design.
| Q | What can do if I’m being treated by a provider not in the network?
| A | Send the plan administrator a completed Transition of Care form (pdf) to ask for assistance through the transition.
| Q | Do current PEBB-covered retirees need to submit a form for 2010 coverage?
| A | No. PEBB will automatically enroll current retirees in the Regence BlueCross BlueShield plan and the Kaiser Added Choice plan in their same tier in PEBB’s Statewide Plan beginning Jan. 1, 2010. Contact BenefitHelp Solutions if you have questions.
| Q | What changes can I make during the Plan Change period?
| A | You may change medical and dental plans; you may drop medical or dental coverage. Contact BenefitHelp Solutions if you have questions. Find forms here.
| Q | I'm enrolled in Kaiser HMO; they sent me a postcard saying if I don't enroll I'll lose coverage with them; will I? |
| A | No. Your retiree enrollment in the Kaiser HMO will roll over into 2010 unless you enroll in a different plan for 2010. |
