Staff will provide an overview of Board benefit decisions for the time period 2000-2008 and respond to questions.  The review will address the rationale for changes during each benefit year and identify benefit reductions and additions.

This report is in response to an annual request by the Department of Human Services (DHS) Public Health Division to include the FluMist product as an option in the PEBB sponsored worksite flu clinics.  The Board will be asked to act on the request.

Aligning Forces for Quality – Data Request (info/discussion/action)
Joan Kapowich
Aligning Forces for Quality is requesting member- specific data from Oregon health plans to establish quality metrics. The Board is asked to support the release of data from our two self-insured plans for this purpose.
 
Action:The Board approved the release of data for the purpose of establishing quality metrics.
 
New Business
 
Rocky King requests a future report on the impact of the new hearing aid benefit. Rocky asks if a large agency is able to access PEBB claim information for a specific group.
 
PEBB staff have the ability to measure the impact of a new benefit. Claim information for one group is not available, as the system records aggregate data only.
