2010 ASO Implementation Plan Update
Welcome (info/discussion)
Chair Hoffman opened the meeting and called for a motion to approve the minutes from the Board’s July 21st (Bdattach.1), Sept. 2 (Bdattach.1a) and Sept. 8 meetings (Bdattach.1b). Peter Callero moved to accept the minutes as read. Bret West seconded the motion and the Board unanimously approved the motion.
Joan Kapowich reviewed the agenda and briefly updated the Board on PEBB activities, including Open Enrollment and H1N1 Flu Planning.
Operations Update
Wendy Edwards reviewed Bdattachs. 2 and 3, which represent Operations updates for July and Aug., respectively. Ms. Edwards also reviewed with the Board the Contracts Renewals Checklist (Bdattach.4).
Wendy Edwards, Bobbie Barott and Ingrid Norberg reviewed Bdattachs.5a and 5b, updating the Board on 2010 mandatory medical Open Enrollment. Vice Chair Peppers asked if the tone of incoming emails were similar in nature. Bobbie Barott replied that the main crux of the emails were inquiries regarding log ins, dependents, nothing very specific and a few are on the new plan.
Public Comment – None.
H1N1 Update
Ingrid Norberg reported that PEBB flu clinics will be held this year, statewide, and have the same organization and operational rules as in the past. The seasonal flu vaccine will be offered. The H1N1 vaccine will not be offered and that has been well communicated using all resources at PEBB’s disposal.
2010 ASO Implementation Plan Update
Wendy Edwards and Sally Hill, Providence, reported on the monthly status of PEBB’s statewide self-insured medical plan. Vice Chair Peppers asked if the form would be clear enough that members would know they need to fill one out. Ms. Hill explained that the form is designed to help people determine their need for transitional care and gives Providence enough information that it would know if the member needs to be contacted.
