Administrator Joan Kapowich provided an overview of the meeting agenda and updated the Boards on topical activities.

Panel Management and Payment Reform (info/discussion: Various Bdattachs.)
PEBB and OEBB Plan vendors discussed their plan’s management and payment reform experience with the Boards.
- (CEO) and Stephanie Dreyfus (Director of Network Development), Providence Health Plans (PHP), updated the Board on PHP’s preparatory work for PEBB’s 2011Open Enrollment, which ended midnight, Oct. 31. 2010. Results of PHP’s pay for performance efforts were shared.
- Tom Syltebo (Family Medicine Physician) and Mark Charpentier (Vice President, Marketing, Sales and Business Development), Kaiser Permanente, discussed Kaiser’s efforts toward population management of members, including life-long health, cost containment and improving patient care experience.
- Jim Foley (Vice President, Buyer Relations) and William Johnson (Chief Medical Officer), Oregon Dental Services (ODS), addressed ODS’s provider network strategies, data implications, service quality and where it will go as a company.
