The Traffic Engineering Services Unit of the ODOT Traffic-Roadway Section is responsible
for developing and maintaining the Traffic Manual. The Traffic Manual focuses on ODOT traffic engineering policies and practices. The manual also clarifies roles and responsibilities, as well as providing information that may be required when considering traffic control changes.
The goals and objectives of the policies and procedures contained in the Traffic Manual are to enhance the safety and efficiency of Oregon’s transportation system by providing guidance for traffic operations, maintenance and project delivery.
