What are Oregon Free Fillable Forms?
This is a program that allows taxpayers to choose the Oregon income tax form and schedules he or she needs, fill in information, e-file and sign the return electronically, and print a copy for their records. It is designed to be the electronic equivalent of paper forms and is ideal for taxpayers who like to fill out their own returns on paper, but would also like the speed, accuracy and convenience that e-filing can provide.
Unlike most tax software, it does not ask about or explain tax situations. It performs only basic calculations and does not have the same level of checking and guidance you would receive with preparation software. (If this is closer to what you need, see if you qualify for our Free E-File Program with one of our approved preparation vendors.) Just like using paper forms, you will be responsible for the input of most of the information on the return. To get started, head to www.statefillableforms.com/OR.
You must complete the federal information worksheet and submit it with your return. If you do not complete the federal worksheet, we will not be able to process your Oregon tax return.
For more information contact us at (503) 945-8415 or electronic.filing@state.or.us. Message line monitored Mon-Fri, from 6am to 4:30pm.
