Resource Parents and Relative Caregivers

DHS Certified Resource Parents and Relative Resource Parents are  Mandatory Child Abuse Reporters

All citizens have a responsibility to prevent child abuse and protect children.

Resource Parents, Relative Resource Parents, and their caregiving employees or volunteers are in a unique position to be aware of when a child reports potential abuse or neglect, and in turn must report these allegations to the Child Protective Services Hotline.

These tools are available to assist Resouce Parents, Relative Resource Parents, and their caregiving employees and volunteers to best understand the responsibilities of Mandatory reporting and the processes that take place once an allegation of abuse or neglect has been made.
